US Air Force mission USSF-52 (OTV-7) is targeting a 5:14 PM PST launch tomorrow December 10, 2023. SpaceX won a competitive bid for the Air Force mission with a Falcon Heavy over a Delta IV.
SpaceX’s 92 launch of 2023 took place on Thursday, December 7 when a Falcon 9 successfully launched 23 Starlink v2 Mini satellites into a low-Earth orbit. The Starlink Group 6-33 mission took off from SLC-40 at CCSFS and marked SpaceX’s 125th operational Starlink mission.
SpaceX’s 93 launch of 2023 was Friday, December 8. It was another Starlink launch. Two of the SpaceX launches were failed Starship launches.
SpaceX has deployed a total of 5,536 Starlink satellites ahead of the mission. 372 SpaceX Starlinks have reentered Earth’s atmosphere. 4,530 are in their operational orbits. The rest are moving into their desired orbits.
