Rivian CEO and Founder RJ Scaringe debuts the next generation of Rivian’s vehicles: R2, R3 and R3X.
Rivian is targeting delivery of the R2 in mid-2026.
Rivian Automotive unveiled three new vehicles and announced over $2 billion in lower expenses by delaying construction on a plant in Georgia.
The R2 is expected to start at about $45,000 when it goes on sale during the first half of 2026. The company also announced the R3 and R3X crossovers.

What goes bankrupt first, Rivian or Lucid?
Lucid. They have Saudi money, but that will only get you so far.
Rivian has good products, and a solid roadmap of vehicles, although I do think they have a tough couple years ahead, and I think they will likely need help. Help could be a partnership with another auto co, or a deep pocketed investor, cough Bezos cough.
Lucid already went bankrupt.
